The Cook County Assessor's Office administers the Affordable Housing Special Assessment Program (AHSAP), which incentivizes the rehabilitation and new construction of multifamily residential properties to create and maintain affordable housing. This program establishes assessment reductions for multifamily rental developments.
The data map below shows where in Cook County properties in the AHSAP incentive are located.
Tier 15 provides a 25% AV reduction for properties in which 15% to 34% of the dwelling units rent at or below 60% of Area Median Income (AMI).
Tier 35 provides a 35% AV reduction for properties in which 35% or more of the dwelling units rent at or below 60% of AMI.
Note: Some projects include multiple buildings, and a building may contain more than one Property Index Number (PIN). This map does not include projects with applications still pending approval.
