Vision

The Cook County Assessor's Office is committed to fairness, ethics, and transparency in the fulfillment of our statutory duty to assess properties at their Fair Market Values. 

Upon taking office in 2018, Assessor Kaegi and his team:

• Developed a 100 Day Initiatives and Objectives plan. See the plan and track progress. 
• Published an Ethics Executive Order, updated in 2019.
• Published guidelines and Rules for Appeals, updated in 2019 and 2020.
